What can I expect?
In High Noon, the ordinary becomes extraordinary — the ticking clock becomes a verdict.
Billy Crudup and Denise Gough take centre stage in this world-premiere theatrical adaptation of the classic 1952 Western, repurposed for the stage by Oscar-winning screenwriter Eric Roth.
Under the direction of Thea Sharrock, the play unfolds in real time, heightening every heartbeat, every second, and demanding your full attention.
The story begins as Will Kane—for decades the law in a small Western town—attempts to retire and start a new life with his wife, Amy Fowler. But when word arrives that notorious outlaw Frank Miller is arriving by the noon train seeking vengeance, Kane is forced to make an impossible choice: walk away with Amy or stand his ground alone.
As the minutes slip by, the townspeople turn away, guns are cocked, and moral fault lines fracture. What starts as a wedding day becomes a countdown to reckoning. High Noon explores themes that still burn brightly today: duty versus desire, justice against peace, and love tested under pressure.
With the electrifying talents of Crudup and Gough, and a creative team that includes award-winning designers Tim Hatley (set & costumes) and Neil Austin (lighting), High Noon is more than theatre — it’s a confrontation, a moral crucible, a story that asks: what do you risk to protect what matters?
Don’t let the minutes slip away. This is your chance to witness one of the most daring theatrical events of the year.
